Teen Anti Drinking Initiative

The Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department will implement a three pronged effort to address the increase use of alcohol of underage drinking among youth ages 10-18 in Bernalillo County. The strategies to address the goal of reducing underage drinking are 1) Media and youth focus groups that will develop anti-drinking logos, slogans, and school training .2) Law Enforcement activities that include road blocks and increased traffic patrols in areas where youth congregate. 3) Court involved activities that will develop special interventions and treatment programs. These strategies will be reported on the performance measures that included reduced alcohol arrests, number of logo and slogans that address underage drinking. NCA NCF
