The Wyoming State Advisory Group (SAG) was created by and derives its authority from Wyoming State Code 14-10-101. The purpose and responsibilities of the SAG, as they pertain to this grant award, are to advise the Governor of Wyoming in the development and review of the State's juvenile justice planning as such planning relates to compliance with the core requirements of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (JJDP) Act; review and comment on all juvenile justice, delinquency prevention and juvenile services grant applications prepared for submission under the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention OJJDP) grant programs; and develop recommendations concerning establishment of priorities and needed improvements with respect tojuvenile justice, delinquency prevention and juveniles services and report its recommendations to the governor and legislature annually. Another primary purpose and goal of the SAG is to assist the Wyoming County Commissioners Association (WCCA), OJJDP's Nonparticipating State grantee, with coming into compliance with the core requirements of the JJDP Act. Wyoming is currently the only "Nonparticipating" State in the nation and the SAG will play a significant role in moving the State towards compliance with the JJDP Act. NCA/NCF
