Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2006, $144,135)

The Center for Women and Families (CWF) will strengthen and enhance the existing continuum of domestic violence and sexual assault services provided to women and children in Jefferson County, Kentucky (now Louisville Metro, Kentucky). This project is will provide therapy, education, case management, group counseling, prevention activities, economic services and legal support to accomplish the following objectives: 1) increase family economic stability; 2) increase family safety, and 3) provide intervention and prevention services necessary to help children and parents break the cycle of violence and positively adjust to the violence that they have experienced.
