Crossroads Youth Community Opportunity Center: A Montgomery and Prince George's Joint County Gang Prevention Initiative

The Montgomery and Prince George's County Gang Prevention Initiative plans to provide services through the Crossroads Youth Opportunity Center. The goals of the Center and this initiative are to implement gang prevention, intervention and suppression strategies including intake and assessment, referral assistance, education and remedial services, workforce preparation, mental health and substance abuse counseling. The Joint Task Force/Initiative plans to serve 200 individuals and family members and increase positive skills in youths/young adults. This program will be evaluated by University of Maryland Department of Criminolgy and Criminal Justice. This Initiative will provide Catagorical Assistance Progress Reports to OJJDP.NCA/NCF
