The Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe, NV Tribal Judicial (Court) System, Tribal Police will the implement Tribal JADG Program Areas Nos. 3, 4, 6, and 14 for over 598 juveniles to be served ages 8-l7 over a three-year period. This project will address a critical need on the Pyramid Lake Indian Reservation through the creation, establishment, and implementation of a Juvenile Court for the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe. This Pyramid Lake Tribal Juvenile Court will allow the judicial system to focus exclusively on juvenile delinquency issues which are currently handled through the Pyramid Lake Tribal Court. This project will allow the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe to establish a separate forum with designated personnel (judge, clerk, prosecutor, probation, defense advocate) to process cases effectively and provide for greater accountability and supervision of juvenile offenders. The Juvenile Court will also establish a series of training programs for court and police personnel on juvenile crime and delinquency issues.CA/NCF
