Youth Ministries for Peace and Justice Youth Programs

This project within the Youth Ministries for Peace and Justice (YMPJ) aims to take a holistic approach to positive youth development.

YMPJ believes that in order to make gains in the reduction of delinquency, youth programs have to address the multiple aspects of the problems facing today's youth.

YMPJ works with youth in the Bronx River and Soundview/Bruckner neighborhoods to make changes in themselves and their community. By focusing on this particual area, YMPJ builds a real sense of community which offers support to community youth.

The problems offered at YMPJ encourage youth to take ownership over their lives, challenge assumptions and oppression in positive ways, and work towards academic and personal success.
