Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2005, $295,993)
The goals of the program are intended to improve student achievement through the use of technology in secondary schools and increase student attachment to school and commitment to academic learning by effectively integrating technology resources through teacher training and curriculum development to establish a research-based best instructional method, thereby reducing the incidence of juvenile delinquency. Students use of technology will move from 'cluster subject' orientation to classroom integration so that teachers are using the computers with their students to learn content rather than conducting separate computer classes. At least twenty students, ten teachers, and ten parents will participate in one or more computer based certification exams.NCA/NCF
