The National Juvenile Court Data Archive's mission is to provide detailed and accurate information on the activities of the nation's juvenile courts. Activities include: annually receiving automated data on more than 1 million juvenile court cases; extracting research data files from case tracking and management information systems, reorganizing the data into formats that support statistical analyses, and transforming these data into useable information. The Archive also documents and preserves original and restructured data files and distributes them for secondary analysis. In addition, the project conducts numerous studies and prepares the annual Juvenile Court Statistics series, OJJDP Bulletins, and Fact Sheets. As a technical assistance provider, the project responds to information requests on the juvenile justice system, works with state and local agencies to improve their information systems, and encourages support of national reporting needs. The Archive is managed by the National Center for Juvenile Justice, part of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges.NCA/NCF
