The NYC Young Adult Transitional Consortium will provide services to individuals ages 16-21 who are returning from incarceration to their communities in Brooklyn area. These services will include GED preparation, college application assistance, financial aid assistance, employment training, job search assistance, housing assistance, and life skills training/counseling. This program will improve the educational skills of previously incarcerated youth, improve their likelihood of passing the GED, and increase their potential for success in higher education and/or the workplace. The Consortium will achieve these goals by measuring 1) the percentage of participants who pass the GED; 2) the percentage of participants who seek either higher education or employment; and 3) the percentage of participants who remain active in the program.NCA/NCF
