The COSA-NCADD Community on Prevention Intervention (COPI) program will target youth ages 10-13 through a web-based tele-health program. The program will concentrate on both prevention and intervention of substance use by teaching youth that they are capable of making their own choices. COPI will provide youth with empowerment tools using five different online components, including 1) prevention skills training; 2) interactive programming to empower youth to identify their own risk status; 3) live counselor-led group sessions and aftercare treatment; 4) professional training and support; and 5) an online portal used to sustain the community-based program. The Alabama Council on Substance Abuse-NCADD will report on performance measures that include the number of successful trainings, satisfaction of the clients' use of empowerment tools and the professionals' use of these instruments.
