The Anaheim Learning Center (ALC) is a career-focused after-school and day program that targets youth of diverse, specifically Hispanic, backgrounds. The ALC program will improve academic aptitude, personal accountability, independence and individual resilience by increasing awareness of postsecondary education and career options. The ALC will provide an asset-rich environment, including positive adult role models, high-quality enrichment and academic programs, and experiential activities to prepare youth for future/career goals. The ALC will measure its success by examining the number of students who 1) enroll in the program; 2) return for additional programs after completion of the preliminary programs; 3) want to pursue postsecondary education, feel confident in their learning ability, and feel positive about their future; 4) improve their academic record and/or attendance record; and 5) enroll in and graduate from postsecondary education institutions.NCA/NCF
