The Rhode Island Family Treatment Drug Court (FTDC) plans to serve a minimum of 100 families over two years. The target population for the Court includes all substance-involved families with children age 18 and under who have come to the attention of the Department of Children, Youth and Families because of abuse and/or neglect charges. The goal of the Court is to provide parents with the necessary treatment and services to become effective parents, provide a safe and stable home environment, and become drug-free. The grant includes an evaluation of the FTDC by the National Perinatal Information Center. The grantee will report on performance measures related to the goals and objectives of the FTDC, such as the number of families who successfully graduate from the program, and the number of families successfully reunified through the services of the FTDC. nca/ncf
