Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2005, $197,000)
The project will support teen pregnancy prevention/intervention programs, and efforts to keep at risk girls out of the juvenile justice system. Project supported services will include counseling in residential and day treatment settings, life skills, parenting, and child care training, education programs, and medical assistance. An overall goal is to break the all too typical cycle of poverty, repeated pregnancies, child abuse, and other deviance among the target population.
