Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2005, $39,466)

Reach Our Community Kids Teen Center (ROCK) will provide after-school activities such as tutoring, mentoring, and computer learning for youth ages 12 to 18 living in three Northeast Los Angeles communities (Eagle Rock, Highland Park, and Glassel Park). Additionally recreational activities will be provided to enhance the self esteem of the youth. The goal of the project is to improve the educational outcomes of the participating youth. ROCK will report performance measures including improved student grades, increased youth participation, and student satisfaction. NCA/NCF
