West Farms Technology Center

This congressional earmark award supports the West Farms Technology Center. The Center, operated by the Phipps Community Development Corporation, provides educational program for underprivileged, at-risk, youth (13-18) in New York City. The program includes technology-based academic instruction, basic computer literacy and application training , and higher-level technical training. The program serves over 600 students annually, and includes minority group and immigrant youth. The goal is to prepare these young people for the labor market.
