Accountability-Based Training and Technical Assistance for Staff in Juvenile Confinement Facilities

The National Juvenile Detention Association, through its National Partnership for Juvenile Services (NPJS) Center for Research & Professional Development (CRPD) will continue to provide training and technical assistance to the field of juvenile detention and corrections. However, with a budget of half of last years grant, the CRPD has had to revise its mission of meeting the basic needs of line staff for training and technical assistance. CRPD has shifted from a cost-sharing services provider to a fee for services provider. The scope of the training and technical assistance in the field of juvenile justice has expanded to include all types of juvenile confinement facilities, large metropolitan juvenile courts, and State departments of juvenile justice in virtually every State in the nation.
