The Sommerville Boxing Club offers an intervention/prevention program for youth which uses the sport of amateur boxing as an alternative to anti-social behavior.The Club will provide youth with educational programs in nutrition, computer literacy and sessions in anger management. The Club will be a safe haven for these youth while offering a strong mentoring component to its program. The school system and the probation department will partner with the boxing club in identifying prospective participants.
