FY 2004 OJJDP Congressional Earmarks Programs - New Hampshire Children's Trust Fund Project IMPACT (Initiatives Moving Parents And Children Together)

There are two over arching goals of Project IMPACT ('Initiatives Moving Parents And Children Together). The first is to demonstrate and evaluate initiatives that strengthen families. The second major goal is to demonstrate the values of those initiatives, as primary prevention, and to enlist understanding and support for prevention of child abuse and neglect. Short term and intermediate objectives include: family engagement and participation, awareness of positive parenting techniques, age appropriate discipline, accessing community resources, developing the ability to handle stress, and demonstrating realistic child management skills.
