Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2004, $148,422)
The Battle Creek Police Department, with the County Prosecutor's Office and the Advocates will create a juvenile truancy and curfew center to provide a centralized drop off location for police officers. The Around the Clock Juvenile Center staff will conduct an initial assessment of the youth, establish an individualized program and make appropriate referrals to related programs, including a Student Attendance Review Board, attendance workshops, academic support, formal probation, court supervision, and additional community services.
