Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2004, $247,369)

The Virtual Quantum Opportunities Program (VQOP) will provide juveniles sentenced to the Philadelphia Youth Study Center with basic, intermediate, and advanced academic courses while they are incarcerated. VQOP will also provide assistance with such life skills as teen parenting, job readiness, and problem-solving. VQOP will assist the youths' transition back into their schools and communities as they are released, through the use of intensive case management services.NCA/NCF
