The Best Friends Foundation will implement a curriculum and program that assists children to resist risk behaviors such as, drugs, alcohol and premarital sex. To accomplish the goal of abstainence, The Best Friends Foundation strategy will be to implement the Best Friends and Best Men Leadership program in 13 sites in Washington, DC. Best Friends will seek to reduce the percentage of participants who illegally consume alcohol and drugs, reduce the number of teenage pregnancies, reduce the number of gang participants and increase the number of positive peer groups. Activities that will accomplish these objectives include 1) curriculum sessions, 2) teacher- mentor contacts,3) fitness activities 4) nutrition lessons and 5) stress management 6) role model presentations 7) community service projects. These performance measures will be reported to OJJDP.NCA/NCF
