Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2004, $98,854)

The goal of the Ten Twenty Club Incorporated is to provide affordable services to mandated youth 12-17 years of age. The Gang Prevention and Intervention program targets youth who have been cited, expelled, are at-risk for gang activity or are current gang members. Program activities include a "scared straight" component, youth sports, field trips, and volunteer activities. The program participants will be required to attend weekly classes that will cover anger management, drug and alcohol use, in addition to family support. The program will assess success through participants' school attendance, probation mandates, random drug tests, weekly group attendance and participation in seeking employment and other positive activities. The Ten Twenty Club Inc. will report progress to OJJDP in their Categorical Assistance Progress Reports. NCA/NCF
