Valdosta State Technical College will implement the Road Map to Success project that targets girls 15 to 17 residing in a six rural Georgia Counties by providing a residential summer program focusing on academic and personal enrichment. Participants will receive special academic coursework that is geared improve their grade level performance in English, reading and math. Valdosta State will supplement the academic enrichment with life skills workshops that include decision making, building self esteem, team building, goal setting and conflict resolution. These sessions are designed to improve the participant's ability to make positive personal choices .The performance measures of the Road Map to Success will demonstrate improved academic performance, increased rate of high school completion and enrollment in post secondary training.NCA/NCF
