The Alaska Federation of Natives OJJDP is to reduce underage drinking in rural Alaska by coordinating the development of a statewide underage drinking prevention plan and designing and delivering a "grassroots peer-led approach" drinking prevention curriculum tailored for rural Alaska. The overall goals of the Youth In Action Guide are to create youth/adult partnerships; to involve youth in leading the way to reduce youth access to alcohol ; to hold both youth and adults accountable for the tragedy of underage drinking and for preventing it ; and to show that youth have a voice.
