Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2004, $800,000)
Title II, Section 244(a)(1), of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act authorized OJJDP to provide technical assistance and training assistance to Federal, State, and local governments and to courts, public and private agencies, institutions, and individuals in the planning, establishment, funding, operation, and evaluation of juvenile delinquency programs. The Targeted Community Action Planning (TCAP) project will offer expert technical assistance to those communities that are facing significant juvenile justice problems and high rates of delinquency and crime. OJJDP in partnership with the State will provide intensive, yet limited, technical assistance to 10-15 communities that have been selected as TCAP prototype sites.
