The Division for Public Education at American Bar Association (ABA) brings expertise and a long-term commitment to the goals of OJJDP's Youth for Justice (YFJ)Program, the cooperative OJJDP national effort to enhance civic education and address juvenile delinquency through high-quality law-related education (LRE) programs. The ABA's role in the project includes leadership development through sponsorship of conferences, development of publications to inform existing and recruit new LRE practitioners, information dissemination through a national resource center, the creation of innovative programs, and mobilization of leadership support for YFJ goals.

This project seeks to create and model innovative programs and publications for lawyers, judges, teachers, students, and other youth to improve literacy; academic achievement; and overall increased knowlege and application of Law-Related Education. The performance measures will report on the amount of increased knowledge based on surveys and output measures that include the number of publications disseminated. NCA/NCF
