National Delinquency Prevention Program Education Project

In 2004-2005 the Constitutional Rights Foundation (CRF) will support this mission by: disseminating the VOICE and Primary VOICE programs and conducting professional development programs in partnership with State LRE Centers; developing on-line resources for its web sites and the YFJ web site; maintaining YFJ LRENET and Teach LRE; continuing liaison responsibilities for fifteen states and providing technical assistance to the national LRE network; developing and coordinating the RFP process for State LRE Centers; expanding a national student teach-in on Youth Service Day; providing national CPO/SRO trainings; and managing and overseeing funds relating to state revitalization, state exemplary and innovative programs, and multi-state technical assistance conferences.

The Constitutional Rights Foundation is one of OJJDP's National Law-Related Education partners. Law-Related Education develops in young people a commitment to the rule of law by teaching strategies to avoid delinquent behavior and providing opportunities for participating as effective citizens. A consortium of five national law-related education (LRE) organizations, Youth For Justice (YFJ) provides sustainable, high quality LRE programs for at-risk youth and their communities. YFJ works in close collaboration with a national network of State LRE Centers and with schools, community groups, and legal and governmental organizations to promote model initiatives; disseminate field-tested materials; and deliver training and technical assistance to educators and parents in schools, communities, and juvenile justice settings.NCA/NCF
