National studies consistently indicate that children and adolescents experience unacceptable high rates of violence. The Children Who Witness Violence Program is designed to minimize the trauma symptoms experienced by children who witness violence and to assist in preventing exposure to future violence. The early intervention program will operate in the lst and 4th police districts in the City of Cleveland.
The goal of the program is to operate an early intervention service that identifies, provides crisis response, assessment and treatment services to children who witness violence.
