Through application of the National Permanency Planning Training Curriculum judges and other social service system professionals will receive current, cutting-edge information on how to improve government handling of child abuse and neglect cases, and how to benefit the children and families involved in these proceedings. Continued improvements in curriculum content will be made, based upon legislative and practical developments in the field of permanency planning for abused, neglected and other dependent children. New topics will be developed in response to state and national legislative developments, and incorporated into the curriculum along with improvements based upon training participant and faculty recommendations. The goal of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges' (NCJFCJ) Permanent Families for Abused and Neglected Children: A National Training and Technical Assistance Project ' 2005-2006 is to provide national training and technical assistance to strengthen and support better practice and improved outcomes for abused and neglected children. The NCJFCJ's Permanency Planning for Children Department (PPCD) will deliver judicial and interdisciplinary training to national, state, regional, and local participants through a variety of national permanency planning training curricula. Judges and other system professionals will receive cutting-edge information on how to improve judicial and system handling of child abuse and neglect cases and benefit the children and families involved in these proceedings.NCA/NCF
