Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2003, $223,538)
Through application of the National Permanency Planning Training Curriculum judges and other social service system professionals will receive current, cutting-edge information on how to improve government handling of child abuse and neglect cases, and how to benefit the children and families involved in these proceedings.
Continued improvements in curriculum content will be made, based upon legislative and practical developments in the field of permanency planning for abused, neglected and other dependent children. New topics will be developed in response to state and national legislative developments, and incorporated into the curriculum along with improvements based upon training participant and faculty recommendations.
