YAPA (Youth-Adult Partnership of Aberdeen ) is a group of concerned young people, adults and organizations from the Aberdeen area working to implement a students driven and adult-supported youth center in Aberdeen, South Dakota. The mission is to research, develop, and maintain a safe place for 12-20 year old young people, especially those at-risk, to congregate for relaxation, entertainment, art and learning. The program activities will provide an opportunity for youth to develop on going relationship with other youth and caring adults and to provide a safe space and structured activities during non-school hours.
