This grant is for the Path Community Services (PCS) Afterschool Program for At-Risk Youth in El Paso, Texas. The purpose of this program is to empower 2,000 at-risk youth to identify career directions and develop leadership skills. The program will consist of three components: (1) training of community leaders, teachers and youth workers in the Path mentoring and coaching process; (2) weekly group Path meetings for youth to develop career paths and leadership skills; and (3) community service projects at which Path youth will demonstrate their leadership skills and career aspirations.
