Danville Kids' University: Soaring to New Heights Through Distinguished Learning! No Child Left Behind!

The project "Danville Kids' University" is an eight week, Saturday, extended education enrichment program. It is conducted during the fall and spring semesters, designed for 3rd and 4th grade students who "want to sharpen and improve their academic skills." Through partnering with the community the program seeks to improve student academic performance, strengthen their self-esteem, reduce drop-out rates, and prevent future drug/alcohol abuse. Classes for parents to improve their job skills, computer skills, and communication/parenting skills will also be conducted.
