Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2003, $439,583)
The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) will award a six-month cooperative agreement to the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ) to provide training and technical assistance to help jurisdictions to strengthen existing juvenile drug courts and to provide the field with state-of-the-art resources. Specifically, NCJFCJ will deliver and monitor technical assistance to operational juvenile drug courts, conduct "Implementing & Enhancing Your Juvenile Drug Court," a workshop for FY 02 implementation and enhancement grantees, and execute two training workshops entitled, "Incentives and Sanctions--Promoting Responsible Behavior in Juvenile Drug Court," and "Effective and Innovative Approaches to Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment."
