With this supplemental STOP Violence Against Indian Women award, Santa Ana Pueblo will continue to provide multi-disciplinary, culturally sensitive services to victims of domestic violence and their children. With continuation funding, the Tribe will: 1) provide services for victims of domestic violence; 2) provide and coordinate domestic violence training for law enforcement, social workers, and victim advocates; 3) assist in the enforcement of tribal court orders by monitoring batterers on probation and by referring the perpetrator to batterer re-education programs to ensure batterer accountability; and 4) provide technical assistance in the development of policies, protocols, and identifying resources to expand services to victims of domestic violence.
