Project Summary for 2002-JR-BX-0002

The primary goal of this project is to expand the ARISE Program into additional facilities, both within and outside of the state of Florida. The ARISE Foundation wants to expand the Life Skills Curriculum and provide training to more facility staff so that the program can be expanded and strengthened. By doing so, the ARISE Foundation believes that there will be (1) a reduction in juvenile crime by changing behavior patterns; (2) a decrease in day to day conflicts between youth and staff; (3) an improvement in communication, writing, reading, observation, and teaching skills; and (4) an opportunity to participate in peer groups that emphasize positive social norms.
