Kansas YouthFriends Project

The YouthFriends Kansas Extension project will support the second two years of a five-year effort to afford every Kansas school district an opportunity to implement YouthFriends school-based mentoring model, thereby expanding the number of young people benefiting from positive mentoring relationships. YouthFriends central office will continue to train, guide and support a replication branch site in Kansas (part of the Southeast Kansas Education Service Center and establish a second Kansas office in Wichita) as they build a network of participating YouthFriends school districts throughout the state, provide ongoing technical assistance to those school districts and bring to scale a statewide commitment to youth mentoring.
