Family Services of Delaware County, Indiana, Inc. seeks to provide character-building and life skills from early childhood throughout school years through its " A Better Way" program. This three part strategy, conducted over a three year period, consist of: 1) the "Acts of Kindness Incentive Program" that rewards students for age- appropriate acts of kindness, 2) the "Learning Other Valuable Expressions (LOVE) Program" that provide social skills education to children in daycare, and 3) the "In-Shelter Childrens Program"that will provide assesment, individual support, education, and enrichment activities for child victims.
These programs build on one another to reduce violence, increase
inclusiveness, and teach emotional control to help young people develop into healthy, self-assured adults.
