The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, under its Center on Child Abuse and Neglect, will continue to operate the National Center on Sexual Behavior of Youth in the provision of training and technical assistance to a wide range of professionals, designed to increase the accuracy of information about adolecent sex offenders and children with sexual behavior problems. The Center on Child Abuse and Neglect will work in conjunction with OJJDP to utilize a multi-disciplinary advisory committe to assist in the development and delivery of training curricula for professionals from juvenile justice, mental health, child protection, the judiciary,law enforcement and treatment community. The overall purpose of the Center is to improve the coordination of intervention and treatment services for adolescent sex offenders and children with sexual behavior problems.
