In 2003, YCWA will continue reaching more young people with the help of regional Expansion Centers and through new information technologies including the website, CD-ROM materials, satellite long-distance learning, and launch of a youth development initiative that builds the skills and characteristics of leaders to engage the individual youth in reducing crime, violence, and drugs while dramatically transforming their lives and the lives of others.

The overacrhing goals for this project are: Expansion, Quality Assurance in Training and Technical Assistance, Raising Recognition and Understanding of YCWA, Investing in Youth through Comprehensive Youth Leadership Development, Evaluating Youth Crime Watch Sites and Components, and Internal Strengthening for Central Administration.
