Project Summary for 2000-JN-FX-K003 The purpose of the project is to provide technical assistance to States receiving Formula Grants funds so they can fulfill the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act core requirement of addressing the issue of disproportionate minority confinement in secure facilities. The project will provide intensive technical assistance (ITA) support to 10 States and will provide five regional training sessions on effective DMC-reduction interventions for juvenile justice practitioners and administrators from the other 39 States participating in the Formula Grants Program. Support to the States also will be provided via a Web site and a ListServ. NCA/NCF
