This project will provide the automated tools for managing formal and informal case processing in juvenile courts and between all juvenile justice agencies in Missouri to provide thereby offering the most appropriate treatment options upon initial contact with justice agencies. The Missouri Juvenile Justice Information System will track the application and outcome of treatment and intervention programs and promote information sharing with all juvenile justice agencies in the state. The project has 4 parts: hardware and communication infrastructure for juvenile court personnel; implementing an automated risk assessment and classification system; linking juvenile courts with other juvenile justice partners by automating information sharing; and a case management tool for both formal and informal case processing.

This project will provide the automated tools for managing formal and informal case processing in juvenile courts and between all juvenile justice agencies in Missouri. The primary goal is to provide better assessment in order to offer the most appropriate treatment options upon initial contact with justice agencies. The Missouri Juvenile Justice Information System will track the application and outcome of treatment and intervention programs and promote information sharing with all juvenile justice agencies in the state. There are components of the project: providing hardware and communication infrastructure to juvenile court personnel; implementation of an automated risk assessment and classification system; linking juvenile courts with other juvenile justice partners by automating information sharing; and implementing a case management tool for both formal and informal case processing.
