Putnam County Educational Service Center is the fiscal agent for Putnam County Task Force for Youth and has been in existence for nine years. The coalition serves Putnam County, a rural county located in northwest Ohio with a population of 34,800. The coalition will achieve these goals by implementing the following strategies:
1) increase collaboration and the number of individuals/organizations participating in the coalition, especially community youth;
2) develop consistent messages to community teens regarding the non-use of alcohol and other drugs;
3) disseminate information via media coverage of coalition events;
4) provide youth leadership opportunities; 5) address community-based processes and conduct teacher trainings; and
6) address environmental issues by hosting "Parents Who Host Lose the Most" campaign, a parent awareness campaign.
