Funding will be provided to enhance and strengthen already existing CAC programs in local communities as well as to promote and support the development of CACs/multi-disciplinary team programs in interested and under-served communities. These CACs will coordinate a comprehensive response to child abuse in order to improve the investigation and prosecution of cases while lessening the trauma associated with these cases through the provision of child-focused and therapeutic services. NCA will promote the expansion of CACs nationwide through the following funding strategy: (1) program development; (2) program support; (3) training; and (4) chapter support. These grants will be awarded to NCA members (for all categories of grants) as well as non-member CACs (for training and program development grants)
