Project Summary for 1995-MU-MU-0028 (S-5)
The Boston SafeFutures Program is a five year demonstration administered by the Office of Community Partnerships. The continuum of services that has been developed in the Grove Hall, Franklin Field/Franklin Hill and Mattapan Neighborhoods in the last four years will focus its activities around the issues of public safety, family strengthening and youth development. These activities will include community mobilization, social and economic development opportunities, youth development and interagency collaboration.
The fifth year of the SafeFutures Initiative will be devoted to building the community's capacity to institutionalize and sustain the continuum of care by diversifying sources of funding, enhancing the service delivery system, and by developing a city wide juvenile justice strategy.
