The Oregon Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force will continue to react swiftly and consistently to CyberTips and assist affiliate agencies with online child exploitation investigations. The Oregon ICAC Task Force will proactively seek out child predators with the use of proactive investigative techniques such as Peer 2 Peer investigations, sting operations and additional innovative means. The Oregon ICAC Task Force will seek an expansion of state and local resources by training and assisting affiliate agencies to conduct their own reactive and proactive child exploitation investigations. Increasing the affiliate agency database will work as a force multiplier to apprehend child predators. The task force will expand and incorporate new technologies into their arsenal to combat child exploitation assisted by technology. Education and outreach will play a defined role in their mission to include children, the general public, educators, law enforcement, prosecutors and anyone else who seeks to prevent child exploitation. An increase in the numbers trained on internet safety awareness will help prevent new child victims. The Oregon ICAC Task Force will continue to be staffed with dedicated, experienced investigators, analysts, attorneys and managers, who will help solidify the Oregon ICAC Task Force as the premiere law enforcement agency in the state combating the online sexual exploitation of children.
