Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2024, $511,991)

The Massachusetts State Police, Massachusetts Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force will continue to investigate computer-related crimes committed against children by enhancing investigative responses to technology-facilitated crimes by offenders using the internet and other technologies. The Task Force also has one hundred forty-nine (149) affiliate and partner agencies with 105 investigators, 15 prosecutors, 35 forensic examiners, and eight education specialists. The Massachusetts State Police will maintain, improve, and expand the Massachusetts ICAC Task Force to prevent, interdict, investigate, and prosecute Internet crimes against children and technology-facilitated child exploitation by increasing the number of investigations, expanding the number of affiliate agencies, providing specialized training to task force members, and increasing the use of the mobile forensic vehicle.
