Zero Abuse will implement the Expanding Child Advocacy Studies Training (CAST) Project. The goal of the Project is to provide ready-to-deliver Toolkits on faculty-requested topics, provide virtual training and simulation resources for students, offer faculty training and networking opportunities; and deliver technical assistance focused on emerging child maltreatment topics. Zero Abuse will lead the Project, in collaboration with its Survivor Advisory Network, CAST Working Group, and subject matter experts and organizational partners, such as Tennessee Department of Children’s Services, the State University of New York at Oswego, and the Indiana Department of Health. Zero Abuse will: 1) develop additional ready to deliver toolkits on emerging issues; 2) provide CAST faculty and students with live and on-demand virtual trainings on cutting-edge topics; 3) develop new experiential simulations for active learning of core CAST skills and concepts; 4) host CAST Faculty Professional Network events to foster social capital development and share best practices; 5) conduct outreach to schools to promote awareness and adoption of CAST programming; and 6) deliver tailored technical assistance and multimedia resources to students and frontline professionals.
