The Marron Institute of Urban Management at New York University (NYU) will operate the Family-Based Justice Center, a training and technical assistance (TTA) center under the Family-Based Alternative Justice Program. Through collaboration, ingenuity, and data-driven approaches throughout the lifespan of programs, the team can support families engaged in the criminal justice system to remain united and avoid the harms of incarceration while improving public safety. The NYU team will provide universal, tailored, and targeted TTA to Family-Based Alternative Justice Program grantees that include: (1) planning and implementation support; (2) peer learning opportunities; and (3) contributing to the broader field and advancement of the state of knowledge of family-based alternative justice programs.
