North Carolina Juvenile Reentry

The North Carolina Department of Public Safety, Division of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention proposes to assess its juvenile reentry system in partnership with the Council of State Governments. The Division of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention will also focus on centering family and youth voice throughout reentry processes and policies. This will be supported through several activities, including the creation of a Family Advisory Council to oversee implementation of new juvenile reentry strategies and providing financial and empowerment training to Division of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention staff, families, and youth to ensure skill building and improve reentry outcomes.
