VOANNE Uplifting Families Together

Volunteers of America Northern New England (VOANNE) proposes to implement the Uplifting Families Together project, in partnership with the York County Sheriff’s Office, York County Jail, and the University of Southern Maine. The purpose is to improve outcomes for incarcerated parents/caregivers and their minor children by implementing programs and services to reduce recidivism and support responsible parenting leading to healthy child development, resiliency, and improved interactions among incarcerated parents and their minor children, as well as family and community members in York and Cumberland counties in Maine.
